Roll Away the Stone Prayer Ministries originated from an annual program at Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church in Lagos, Nigeria. It was during the event themed “Roll Away The Stone” in 2017 that the ministry’s name was inspired. The topic held special significance as it marked a turning point in the founder’s life and ministry.
In 2018, after the founder relocated to the United States with his wife, they witnessed the fulfillment of the “Roll Away The Stone” command from John 11:39 as his wife became pregnant, and they received an invitation to the USA. This relocation prompted a sense of divine purpose.
Shortly after settling in Texas, the founder received a prophetic message that he was brought to the USA not to be passive but to initiate a ministry. With a humble beginning, Roll Away the Stone Prayer Ministries was established as a weekly prayer meeting, held on early Tuesday mornings at 5 am. Initially starting with three families, the ministry has since grown, connecting believers from the USA, Canada, Europe, and Nigeria for online worship and prayer via Zoom App.

Meet Joseph Adeniyi Ajayi
Joseph Adeniyi Ajayi, born on June 10, 1977, is the second son among seven siblings in the family of Late Rev. Dr. Joseph Abiodun and Sabaina Modupeola Ajayi. He embarked on his educational journey at Odo-olowu Primary School in Ijeshatedo Surulere from 1983 to 1989, followed by his secondary education at Sanya Grammar School, Sanya Surulere, Lagos, spanning from 1990 to 1995.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Hons.) from the University of Ado-Ekiti, earned in 2001. Additionally, he pursued pastoral education at the Cherubim and Seraphim College of Divinity, obtaining diplomas, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees, all in Theology, during the period from 2006 to 2015.
Rev. Dr. Joseph Adeniyi Ajayi is married to Pastor/Prophetess Rosemary Adesuwa Ajayi, and their union has been blessed with two children, Michael Adeyinka and Deborah Adedunke Ajayi. He is not only a preacher of the Word but also a hymn singer, writer, and dedicated teacher of the Gospel.
